Three bridges over the James River in Yankton County will be rehabilitated under funds from the states “Bridge Improvement Grant” program.
Highway Superintendent Brian Gustad told the county commission that bids came in well under the estimates…….
The engineer estimate for the bridges was just over one million dollars.
While the county was approved for up to eight hundred eighty thousand dollars, Gustad says the extra money goes back into the state wide pool……
Gustad says they are certain of the project costs…..
Gustad says they will have a meeting later this week to set up construction.
