A public meeting will be held next week to talk about the possibility of a dairy development zone in Yankton County.
Planning and Zoning Administrator Pat Garrity told county commissioners they are inviting affected landowners to the meeting………
Garrity says they will work on a plan based on the input they get from the landowners….
Garrity says demand is growing for so called protein production, with dairy near the top of the list.
Garrity says the zone would be based on potential developments near Highways 81 and 46……….
The meeting will be next Wednesday evening at the north side fire station in Yankton.
