Yankton County voters will decide the fate of a tax opt out in the November election. The county commission passed the property tax and wheel tax increases in July to help shore up the road and bridge fund.

The county has been holding public hearings on their five year road plan. Woods says the next one will be on September 29th…………

The taxes would raise about eight hundred thousand dollar a year for road work, and would sunset in five years.
