Yankton County Road Grinding Plan Gets Public Attention

A large crowd filled the Yankton County Government center Tuesday evening to ask commissioners to slow down or stop plans to grind and reclaim eight miles of asphalt road.
Dan Rederick, who lives on three oh first street in the north east part of the county says they want to see road improvements…..

The group brought several hundred petition signatures to the commission. The plan is to grind up the blacktop, mix it with gravel, then roll it back down, and apply chip seal next summer.

Rederick says they want to make sure the county follows through…..

Commission Chairman Don Kettering says they understand those feelings…..

Kettering says it’s hard for people to trust government….

Kettering says other black top roads will probably see the same process later this summer.
