The Yankton County Jail has become a profit center for the county.
Sheriff Jim Vlahakis spoke to the county commission last Tuesday night and says they have had some good months this year….

The jail showed about one point five million dollars in revenue last year. Most of that is from charging for out of county and federal prisoners.

The jail can hold up to one hundred thirty prisoners.
