Yankton County Hog Barn Opponents Consider Next Step

The Yankton County Commission this week approved building permits for three hog barns near Mission Hill and Volin. Each barn can hold up to twenty four hundred head of hogs.
Tony Keller, spokesman for the group, “Quality of Life for South Dakota,” says they don’t think zoning laws are applied evenly…..

Keller says they believe the barns should have required a conditional use permit…..

Keller says they are still talking about their options….

Keller says they are looking for a balance between rural residents and farming operations.
