Permit applications for seven hog barns, each containing up to twenty-four hundred head, were pulled yesterday by the three seperate developers. The seven barns had been proposed on land in the Mission Hill, Volin and Gayville areas. The permits had been approved by the Yankton County Planning & Zoning commission, but were returned by the County Commission for further information.
Tony Kellar of Gayville, an opponent of the facilities, says they don’t think this ends the process….
Kellar says they plan to stay organized…..
Kellar says they do support agriculture……
The applicants would have had to supply more information before building permits would have been issued.
