Yankton County Getting Second Opinion on Jamesville Bridge

Yankton County is hoping to get a second opinion from the state on damages to the Jamesville Bridge and financial aid.
That bridge is now closed but the state determined that the damage was not from flooding and didn’t want to help pay for repairs.

County Commission Chairman Dan Klimisch says he talked with a Department of Transportation staffer…

Klimisch says it wasn’t the D.O.T. that looked at the engineering report…

Klimisch says it will take some time to get a plan in place…

The bridge over the James River in the central part of the county has been closed since September.
