Yankton County Commissioners Considering Insurance Cost Hike

Yankton County Commissioners are considering insurance options for their employees. Their carrier, Avera Health, presented them with a proposal at their last meeting that will raise costs by eight to nine percent.
Commission Chairman Todd Woods says it is another increase they will have to fit into an already tight budget……

Woods says their employees already pay a big part of the insurance costs…..

Woods says they have to keep a good benefit package to attract and keep employees…..

The commission will have to make a decision on the insurance by early next month.
