A task force will be looking at possible changes to some zoning rules in Yankton County.

Planning and Zoning Administrator Pat Garrity has suggested changes to the allowable sizes of outbuildings on residential lots.

Yankton County Commission Vice Chair Deb Bodenstedt says they are seeing more requests for ever larger buildings…

Bodenstedt says the current zoning covers much smaller buildings…

Bodenstedt says changing the zoning would eliminate the need for so many variance requests….

The task force will meet several times into the fall and come up with some suggested changes.
