The Yankton County Commission has been talking about changes to the ag zoning ordinance for many months. The proposal has been to the Planning Commission and back several times.
Commission Chair Cheri Loest says it’s been talked about enough….

Loest says they will go through the Planning Commission meeting information and set a public hearing…

Loest says the best timeline takes them into mid-summer for a final decision…

Commissioners took no vote on the issue at their meeting Tuesday night, but agreed to the May 4th meeting on the zoning issue.
