The Yankton County Commission held a public hearing Monday night to talk about their next five-year road plan.
There was considerable public input, mostly complaints about the condition of roads, including some that were converted from pavement back to gravel.
Commissioner Cheri Loest said they formed a road task force to come up with a five year plan in 2014 and again in 2019…
Loest says they had to make some tough budget decisions….
Loest says the county had too many paved roads to maintain….
The commission will adopt the new five year plan at a later meeting.
