Yankton County Commission Still Searching for Road Funds

A committee set up by the Yankton County Commission has been studying road issues, and possible solutions.
The committee was created after voters rejected a property tax opt out last September.
The commission has been cutting back on road maintenance due to a lack of funding.
Commissioner Don Kettering is on the road committee….

Kettering told the commission last night they are coming back to the need to raise taxes…..

Voters rejected a ninety cent per thousand tax increase last year. Kettering says they will probably propose something less than that….

Kettering says there are no easy solutions to the road problems.
