Yankton County Commission Remembers EMS Director Steve Hawkins

The Yankton County Commission took time at their final meeting of the year this week to remember long time Yankton County Emergency Medical Services Director Steve Hawkins. He and his wife Wendy both died of cancer last Friday.
Commissioner Cheri Loest talked about Hawkins service….

Loest says there are memories and link on the Yankton County EMS Facebook page…..

Commission Chairman Joe Healy says its a big loss to the county and Hawkins family….

The money raised will help offset funeral costs. A memorial service will be held next spring.
Steve Hawkins had led the department for thirteen years.
Steve was 58, Wendy was 52.
