The fate of three applications for seven hog production facilities will be decided by the Yankton County Commission at their July 5th meeting.
A large crowd is anticipated, but Commission Chairman Don Kettering says they won’t be able to move the meeting…..

Kettering says they will meet with States Attorney Rob Klimisch (klim-ish) to set public participation rules for the meeting…..

Kettering says the entire process is contained in the county zoning rules, which have been in place almost fifteen years….

The applications are for seven units, with up to twenty-four hundred hogs in each, in the Mission Hill and Volin areas.
