The Yankton County Commission held a special meeting yesterday to hear from Tom Johnson, with Mid State Reclamation.
He made a presentation about their methods of road repair, which involves removing and then re-using recycled pavement to save costs on road projects. Johnson projected their costs of re-paving of about sixty thousand dollars per mile.
Commission Chairman Todd Woods says it was an interesting presentation…..

Woods says they will visit one of the companies work sites in Knox County…..

Woods says they want to focus on keeping as many asphalt roads as they can…..

The commission will hold an open house next Monday to get public input on their road and bridge task force report.
