Approval of several conditional use permits for CAFO’s has led to informal allegations of conflict of interest by at least two members of the Yankton County Commission.
The allegations stem from both Commissioner Todd Woods and Commission Chairman Don Kettering being employed at First Dakota National Bank. Kettering says the work he has done for the bank is not in any way tied the loan department, or decisions made about potential ag development projects…..

States Attorney Rob Klimisch (clim-ish) will ask the South Dakota Attorney Generals’ Office to determine what if any conflict of interest may exist for the commission members.
