Yankton County Commission Holding Another Emergency Meeting

The Yankton County Commission will hold another emergency meeting today (Monday 9AM) to correct an action from Friday’s emergency meeting.

The commission held an executive session Friday and when they came out, Chairman Dan Klimisch made an announcement….

By taking action in executive session, the commission apparently violated the state’s open meeting law, which mandates votes must be in open session.
The commission met to discuss an investigation by Commissioners Cheri Loest and Don Kettering…

Kettering says there was another allegation investigated…

Klimisch also announced a second action…

The commission had previously announced another special meeting set for Thursday.
