Yankton County Commission Hears from Med-Star Ambulance Service

The Yankton County Commission has pointed to emergency medical and ambulance costs as a major driver in their attempts to write a 2020 budget.
The county spent over one point one million dollars on those services last year. Commission Chairman Dan Klimisch has said they may not be able to continue the same level of services.
Jay Masur, head of Med-Star Ambulance, based in Brandon spoke to the commission this week, offering assistance if needed…..

Masur says costs are rising for all service providers….

Masur says he wasn’t at the meeting to offer any formal proposals….
Med-Star provides ambulance service in Brandon and much of Minnehaha County.
