Yankton County Commission Chairman Todd Woods highlighted progress they made in the past year, and some of the prospects facing them in his “State of the Community” comments today.

Woods says Dakota Plains received a twenty five million dollar building permit last month for a grain loading facility at Napa Junction…………

Woods says they are negotiating on some land needed for the access road to the junction….

As part of the half cent sales tax navigating through the South Dakota legislature, forty million dollars of the money raised will go to property tax reduction. Woods says that shouldn’t have an impact on their budget….

Woods says roads and bridges, and paying for repairs will be their primary worry through the year.
