The Yankton County Commission was asked to pass a resolution opposing implementation of the “30 by 30” conservation plan proposed by the Biden Administration.

District 18 Representative Julie Auch of Lesterville told the commission that she was speaking for a group of citizens supporting the resolution….

The plan would conserve thirty percent of US land and water by the year 2030. About twelve percent is now in conservation status.

Auch says county resolutions can have an impact….

Guy Larson asked commissioners to wait until they have had a fair hearing…..

The Commission did not act on the resolution.
