Yankton County Commission Asked to Consider Anti “30×30” Resolution

The Yankton County Commission heard from opponents and supporters of a resolution against the federal governments proposed 30 by 30 conservation plan. That would put thirty percent of the country’s land and water in some type of conservation program by 2030.

Resolution supporter Laura Kotalik said the federal program is deceptive..

Guy Larson spoke in opposition and on behalf of the state Sierra Club, asking the commission what their role would be….

Commission Chair Don Kettering asked to defer action on the resolution….

Kettering also asked that the resolution be posted on the county’s website.
