Yankton County Commission Approves Sewer Study Funding

After weeks of discussion, the Yankton County Commission agreed to help fund an update to a study of a sewer system in the lake area west of Yankton.

Commissioner Don Kettering says it would be best to have some plans ready to go….

Commissioner Joe Healy says the desire for a sewer system depends on where people live….

Commissioner Dan Klimisch, who had proposed the study, said it was time to make a decision…..

The commission will pay half, or about fourteen thousand dollars for the study. The James River Water Development District will pay the other half.
