The Yankton County Commission amended their load limit rules at their last meeting, now allowing vehicles up to eighty-six thousand pounds, if they have enough axles. They kept the six ton per axle rule. Vehicles that don’t meet those numbers can apply for special permits.

Woods says most counties in the state are imposing the same standards…..
The load limits will be in effect until the ground dries out, and roads stabilize.
