The Yankton County Commission approved a bid for repairs to the closed Jamesville Bridge over the James River.
At a special meeting Thursday the commission accepted the lone bid of just over one hundred eighteen thousand dollars from the Journey Group to fix the bridge.
Commission Chair Cheri Loest says they need to get moving on the repairs…

The bridge has been closed since the September flooding.
Loest says the work has to be done by March 8th which makes it a tight time line..

Loest says any work past the deadline would involve a penalty to cover any extra costs…

Loest says the work should start next week.
