Planning District Three has updated the Yankton County map for the potential location of Confined Animal Feeding Operations and made a presentation to the Yankton County Commission.

The map shows those type of facilities are not allowed near towns, Lewis & Clark Lake, and along the James River.

Woods says zoning rules are clear on where those barns are allowed……

Woods says there is a need for more public education on zoning, and livestock production……

Most of the hog barns approved so far have been for twenty four hundred head or less.
