Yankton College Legacy Lives On

The official opening of the Yankton College Alumni and Educational Center was held Thursday at the Mead Building Historical Center.

Dr Joseph Ward, a member of the Board of Trustees, says its an emotional day for him and his family….

The center, on the third floor of the building, will hold displays of the history of the college that closed in 1984 along with the alumni office.

Ward says he hopes the legacy will live on…..

Ward says the college remains active by awarding scholarships to high school students every year….

The ribbon cutting of the new offices was held in conjunction with an all-class reunion.
