The City of Yankton has seen sales tax collections go up and down from month to month this year.
Commissioners questioned City Finance Director Al Viereck at their meeting Monday night. He says they dropped their sales tax estimate for the year to a two percent increase……
Viereck says they have seen some better monthly reports in the second half of the year…..
Viereck says they do have some concerns about next year tax projections….
City sales taxes for the year to date are up just under two percent over last year.
