The Yankton City Commission will have to make some major decisions about the future of the wastewater treatment plant.
The commission will hold a work session about the potential project before their regular meeting Monday night.

City Manager Amy Leon says they will give the commission a number of options….

Leon says options include updating the current plant on the east end of Riverside Park, or possibly moving the site further downstream…..

Leon says they are putting together some cost estimates for the upgrades….

Leon says while they have one federal grant for about nine million dollars, they hope to have some costs covered by federal Covid relief funds.

The work session will be held at 5:30 Monday afternoon just ahead of the regular meeting.
