Yankton City Commission to Consider Rate Hikes

The Yankton City Commission will consider the annual proposal to increase water, wastewater and solid waste rates at their Monday night meeting.
City Finance Officer Al Viereck totals up the rate hikes…..

While a three percent hike is planned for solid waste, Viereck says they are still tabulating the changes in costs this year….

A five percent hike is planned for wastewater. Viereck says that too may change…..

Water rates are due to increase three percent, with a continuing surcharge for construction of the new water treatment plant.
The commission meets tonight (Monday) 7PM at the R-TEC building.
