Yankton City Commission Talks Downtown

The Yankton City Commission is now setting aside an hour prior to their last meeting of the month to talk about a single issue. At last night’s first session, improving downtown was the topic.
Commissioners talked about how the city could partner with businesses to focus and enhance the area for visitors.
Commissioner Nathan Johnson says the Meridian Bridge Plaza, along with other improvements are big steps………

Johnson says the downtown is too important for the commission to ignore………

Commissioner Craig Sommer says most of the expensive work has been done…………

The commission took no action at the end of the discussion session.
