Yankton City Commission Takes Another Step on Downtown Plan

Yankton City Commissioners approved a proposal from Stockwell Engineering to design the next phase of the downtown improvements on Walnut Street, directly north of the Meridian Bridge Plaza.

City Manager Amy Nelson says next year’s plan is an ambitious one…..

Nelson says it is another step in the multi year, downtown plan…..

Commissioner Nathan Johnson says the city is following through on the long term plan for the downtown area……

The design plan will cost just over fifty eight thousand dollars.
The reconstruction is due to be done before Riverboat Days in late August.
