Yankton City Commission Seats New Member, Re-organizes

The Yankton City Commission reorganized at its meeting last night, seating a new member, and electing a mayor.
Tony Maibaum joins as the newest member. He was one of three that filed for the three open seats, so there was no city election this year.
He says he is looking forward to the challenge….

Maibaum says he would like to see the commission move ahead rapidly….

Charlie Gross was elected again as Mayor. He will serve a one year term, and follows Dave Carda who remains on the commission.
Gross says he wanted to sit in the middle again…

Gross says he also wants to follow through on the biggest project in the citys history, the new water treatment plan….

Gross, along with Commissioner Amy Miner were sworn in for their three year term.
