Yankton City Commission Restarting Covid-19 Updates

The Yankton City Commission will be getting regular updates again on Covid-19 infections and hospitalizations.
City Manager Amy Leon told the city commission Monday night they stopped those updates as numbers tailed off in the spring….

Commissioner Amy Miner requested the reports start again..

Commissioner Nathan Johnson, who works at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, says there are good reasons to restart the reports….

The latest state report shows about three hundred thirty new cases reported with one hundred twenty seven hospitalized. Yankton County shows twenty five active cases, with one additional death reported over the weekend.
