The Yankton City Commission approved a resolution at their meeting Monday night, supporting the development of “safe and sustainable agriculture, both large and small in Yankton County.”

Dale Hebda, who operates a produce farm northeast of the city, questioned why the city was involved in the issue…..

Hebda also questioned how much support there is for agriculture in the City of Yankton……

Yankton Area Progressive Growth had asked the city commission to consider the resolution of support. There was no comment from commissioners before they voted to support it. The Vote was five to one, with one abstention.
