Yankton City Commission Moves Budget to Public Hearing

The Yankton City Commission gave tentative approval to their 2017 budget following a workshop Monday night.
City Manager Amy Nelson says the proposed budget carries significant debt……

Nelson says they still have the capacity to carry more debt if necessary…..

A thirty five million dollar water plant project is underway, with construction beginning possibly next year.

Total spending is projected at about sixty three and a half million dollars, an increase of more than twenty percent from this years budget.
