The Yankton City Commission will hold their annual budget meeting Monday night following the regular meeting.

City Manager Amy Leon says this years proposed budget would spend about ten million dollars less than last year…

Leon has proposed utility rate increases of three percent for water and solid waste and five percent for wastewater. She says those have to cover their own costs..

Leon says utility expenses also continue to rise….

Commissioners will also decide if another budget workshop is needed before they formally adopt the spending plan.

The commission meeting is scheduled for 7PM tonight at the CM-TEA (simm-tee) building.
