The Yankton City Commission, at their meeting last night, heard from people interested in finding a truck bypass route around the city.

Former legislator Frank Kloucek of Scotland had been helping circulate a petition asking for official to again look at the bypass. He presented the petition, with over seven hundred signatures to the commission…

 

Yankton resident Karen Starr told the commission a truck route would not be good for businesses…

 

Commissioner Jake Hoffner says the city looks at upgrades when perimeter roads are rebuilt…

 

There was also some discussion of asking for another traffic study, but no decisions were made.
