Yankton City Commission Approves Added Features for the Huether Aquatic Center

The Yankton City Commission this week approved a change order that will add more features to the under construction Huether Family Aquatic Center.
City Manager Amy Leon says the biggest addition is the parking lot…

Leon says a climbing wall and bridge are the other major additions…

The total bid came in at just over eleven million dollars, well under the fourteen million dollars approved by voters.

Commissioner Jake Hoffner warned the commission about making too many changes..

The changes were approved on an eight to zero vote. The aquatic center is scheduled to open for the summer season in 2021.
