Yankton City Commission Agrees to Extend Retail Study

The Yankton City Commission agreed to fund the second phase of a retail market survey. The first part of the survey, done last year, focused on retail sales, and potential businesses interested in the area.
City Manager Amy Nelson says they want to expand and extend that start….

Development Director Dave Mingo says business wants to move much faster now….

Mingo says the study of hotels and convention space could answer a number of development questions….

The commission passed the extended study on a seven to one vote. It will cost the city about eighty five hundred dollars, and should be done in April.
