Xcel Energy is sending crews from around the country–including the midwest–to Puerto Rico to help with the power restoration efforts there in the wake of Hurricane Maria–which hit four months ago.
Xcel Operations Manager Kelly Bloch says safety is the top priority for workers while they’re down there. She says crews will likely be on the job for around six weeks.
