Media reports indicate that Wright State will name South Dakota State men’s basketball coach Scott Nagy as the new coach of the Dayton, Ohio, school’s team.

Nagy has been the head man at SDSU for the past 21 seasons, posting a record of 404-239. He guided the Jacks to an NCAA berth in three of the past five seasons.

Nagy is one of just 13 Division One coaches with at least 20 years at his current school.

Billy Donlon was fired as coach of the Wright State team after a record of 109-93 in six seasons with the Raiders. His teams appeared in the championship game of the Horizon League tourney three of the last four years without winning any of them.

ESPN’s Jeff Goodman reported that the other finalists for the job were Joe Dooley of Florida Gulf Coast and Marty Simmons of Evansville.
