The clock is ticking down to Friday’s implementation of the EPA and Army Corp’s Waters of the United States Rule. With that set to go effect and the uncertainty surrounding the regulation the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Association is working to educate their members in how to deal with the rule. Kristin Hassebrook is Cattlemen’s Vice President of Legal and Regulatory Affairs.

Hassebrook says they’re trying to help producers understand the rule and its effects.

Hassebrook says her group is waiting to see if the courts rule on several injunction requests by State Attorneys General challenging the rule.

Should an injunction be granted it would stop WOTUS from being implemented while the courts consider the case.
