The World Pork Expo returns to an in-person event this summer at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. That follows a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic and African Swine Fever concerns. National Pork Producers Council’s Director of Trade Show Marketing Doug Fricke says the event runs from June 9-11, with pandemic safety precautions in place.

He says they’re expecting some international visitors but not as many as usual due to COVID.

Fricke says they’ve added new space to accommodate more visitors and enhance their displays.

Fricke says they will not have any live animals at World Pork Expo and will have foreign animal disease protections in place.
