The Executive Board of the South Dakota legislature approved a summer study committee to look at housing across the state.
House Majority Leader Kent Peterson of Salem says its related to workforce…

A similar study was done four years ago but all of the proposals from that were killed in legislative committees.
Peterson says things have changed since then, so there may be a different outcome….

The workforce housing needs study will be chaired by Representative Roger Chase of Huron.
