Wokini Initiative Gets Half Million Dollar Bush Grant

The Bush Foundation, based in the Twin Cities, has given the Wokini Initiative at South Dakota State University a half million-dollar grant.

Shana Harming, the director of the initiative says the grant helps them move quickly on their path..

The Wokini Initiative is working to help native American students get to the university and complete a degree track. It will be housed in the new native center being built in the center of the Brookings campus.
