While the five way republican Senate primary in South Dakota is making most of the noise, and getting most of the attention, democrats also have candidates running state wide in next Tuesday’s election.

Representative Susan Wismer of Britton will face Joe Lowe of Rapid City in the race for the Governors nomination.

Wismer, making a campaign stop in Yankton, says the state needs someone to challenge republican incumbent Governor Dennis Daugaard…

Wismer says legislators did not have to make the deep budget cuts in 2011…

Wismer says she has tried to be inclusive in her primary campaign…

Daugaard also has a primary, facing former Representative Lora Hubbel.
