Winona State University is expanding its nursing degree program in an attempt to better equip nurses to meet the needs of rural communities in Minnesota. Jane Foote is helping lead the online- based program.

 

Foote says health systems are also responding to the need, offering incentive programs for nurses to go back to school and pursue higher certification.
