Windom High School Senior Spencer Wolter has been named the Minnesota State FFA President for 2016-2017. The group wrapped up its convention this week in Minneapolis. Wolter says he has several goals for the organization and wants to continue growing its membership and getting those members more involved.

He says he was inspired to seek an FFA officer position by a former FFA State President who also rose to the top job from Fulda, Minnesota.

Wolter says it was a long road to the State FFA Presidency especially with his background.

Wolter says he hopes to hone those skills when he attends the University of Minnesota in the fall and studies to be a large animal veterinarian.
