Windfarm expert and Certified Real Estate Appraiser, Mike McCann spoke about wind farms and property values at a pair of stops in South Dakota this week. McCann was brought in by WE-CARE, the group opposing the wind project being proposed for Lincoln County. McCann says the problem is the intensity and density of the Lincoln County project.
McCann says property values tend to decrease when large wind projects are put up.
McCann also says with most wind projects, the average decline of property values is quite significant.
McCann spoke Monday in Canton and Tuesday night in Beresford.
